Murrow Professor at the Harvard Kennedy School, former leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, and author of The Needs of Strangers (1984), Blood and Belonging: Journeys into the New Nationalism (1993), Isaiah Berlin: A Life (1998), The Lesser Evil: Political Ethics in an Age of Terror (2004) and Fire and Ashes: Success and Failure in Politics (2014), will be in Scotland for the 2014 Knox Lecture at the University of St Andrews and a lecture at the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
