In 2001 the Club created a Centenary Fellowship in celebration of 100 years of its existence. Each year a special grant enables one of the departments to host a visit by a distinguished philosopher from Britain or abroad for a period of between one and six months. The grant may also be used to host shorter visits by a several distinguished philosophers. Centenary Fellows normally make additional visits to other philosophy departments in Scotland.
In 2008, Dr Catarina Dutilh Novaes (University of Amsterdam) will be visiting the University of St Andrews.
